The villa was built in 1928 in the Berlin district of Westend. The Westend district was originally planned as a colony of villas and was named after the distinguished London district. Insignificant and elegant from the outside, in interior opens up a real treasure chest. Beautiful rooms have been created with handmade wooden and stucco work. The building and the outdoor facilities are listed as an ensemble.

home sweet home .

The extensive and costly renovation of the house contains many facets of my work as an architect. My work consisted of research into the history of Berlin in the 1920s . The client of this project spent a several years of her life in this house and could remember many details, colours and furnishings, even the flowers in the garden. The project was an exciting journey for me personally and in terms of building history. It was necessary to preserve and restore the existing listed building substance and to bring it up to today's standards with the modernising measures. The result was an outstanding transformation into modern times, which united the history of the house with gentle intervention and a lot of skill. "The house is more beautiful than ever!" With these words, the common journey full of discoveries, little puzzles and a very moving cooperation with the owner family, which is still very close to my heart, ended.

the vision.
